|St. David's Episcopal Church & Preschool||
The San Diego Episcopal Cursillo community was founded in the 1970’s to meet the growing spiritual needs of Episcopalians in San Diego County. It is part of a world-wide community which began with the Roman Catholic Cursillo movement. Its purpose is to help those in the church understand their individual callings to be Christian Leaders.
Daughters of the King
The Daughters of the King is a national prayer/support organization for women. Members make a life-long commitment to prayer, service, and evangelism.
Come as a guest to one of our meetings and share in our experience of spiritual growth, learning, and fellowship. A meal is shared before devotions, prayer, and study. We meet the 1st Monday night of each month at 5:45 p.m. in St. David's Mission Center.
The International Order of St. Luke the Physician .
Healing Prayer is offered during communion on the 2nd and 4th Sundays during the 8am service and on the 4th Sunday at the 10:30. After receiving communion, go to the chapel at the rear of the church and parish members of the Order of St. Luke the Physician will be there to offer anointing with oil and prayers of healing.
Parish members of the Order of St. Luke the Physician will offer anointing with oil and prayers of healing in the Chapel on the south side of the narthex (the entrance area of the church).
St. David’s parishioners and friends provide meals to parishioners who are ill, recovering from surgery, or otherwise in need of this service. If you are willing and able to help, even just occasionally, contact Louise Buck. You’ll be able to choose a date that works for you. You can reach Louise at (619) 275-2845 or better yet, email her at email@example.com.
St. David's Senior Center
Our Senior Center, known as The Gray Brigade, is a vital part of the Clairemont community, offering a place for friendship, nourishment (physical, social and psychological), and shared laughter. It is a place where you know others are looking out for you. We meet every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Mission Center (September to June). A monthly newsletter is emailed or mailed. Program ideas and volunteers are welcome.

Music At St. Davids
The Ministry of Music
The Ministry of Music program is an integral part of the worship and discipleship ministry of St. David’s Episcopal Church. The ministry also supports our Concert Series which is provided for the greater San Diego community. It involves local and out-of-town performers. For more information on our music program please contact the church office at 619-276-4567.
Join the Parish Choir
Our Parish Choir is open to all interested singers and requires no auditioning. This is a great opportunity to learn quality music from the past masters as well as music hot off the press. The choir sings for the 10:30 service on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays each month from September through the middle of June.
Weekly Rehearsals: Thursdays – 7:15-9:00 p.m. (in the Sanctuary)
Sunday Rehearsal: 10:00 a.m. followed by the 10:30 service
Our Instrumental Ensemble and Praise Team
The Instrumental Ensemble provides assistance at the 10:30 service year-round. Musicians proficient in any instrument are invited to join this group. On the second Sunday of the month the Ensemble is joined by members of the Parish Choir and Congregation in presenting music of a more contemporary nature. For more information regarding this group, please contact the church office.
Weekly Rehearsals: Sundays – 9:30 a.m. (in the Sanctuary)
Sunday Services: 10:30 a.m.
Prayer Quilt Squares
In June 2004, we started making quilted squares for our military troops in Iraq. We now make squares for people inside and outside our parish (Kairos Outside, Veterans Village, County Mental Health Facility). Each knot on the quilted square signifies a prayer that was said by a parishioner for the health and comfort of the person receiving the square. The squares are blessed at a Sunday service before distribution.
No sewing experience is necessary to join this ministry, as there are several non-quilting tasks to be done. We meet in the Education Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the 1st Tuesday of each month and on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
A group of people are available to provide a ride to church services or functions for those in need of transportation. If you need a ride – or can provide one, email or call the church's office: firstname.lastname@example.org or 619-276-4567.
